I underwent bariatric surgery using the SASI method at the age of 62, on 03/11/2023, with Dr. Lapatsanis and his wonderful team. When the surgery took place, I weighed 151 kg (height 1.85 m), was insulin-dependent with type 2 diabetes, and had eye (intraocular injections) and kidney problems.
Today, after 1 year and 4 months, I have lost 74 kg, and most importantly, my diabetes — along with the conditions that came with it — has completely disappeared!
The surgery, performed by Dr. Lapatsanis and his team using the laparoscopic method, was so bloodless and painless that I stayed in the hospital for only two nights and was back at my office on the third day!
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the surgeon — but above all, to the person — Dr. Dimitris Lapatsanis and his team, for the bloodless procedure and their care before and after the surgery, which literally changed my life.
If I regret anything today, it’s that I didn’t have the operation with this doctor years earlier, letting my fears hold me back!
