I graduated from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Harokopio University in 1998. I pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, where I obtained an MSc in Sports Nutrition in 2000. Upon returning to Greece, I completed my PhD at the University of Athens in 2010.
Since 2006, I have been working as a clinical dietitian, and for the past 15 years I have specialized in the nutritional management of patients with metabolic disorders and patients before and after surgery. I have published over 20 articles in international scientific journals and have delivered more than 100 invited presentations at national conferences on clinical nutrition, obesity, diabetes, nutrition in surgery and post-bariatric patient support.
I am a member of the Hellenic Dietitians Association, the Union of Dietitians-Nutritionists, the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN), and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO). I also teach in undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Medicine and Nutrition–Dietetics at Greek universities, contributing to the education of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
From the beginning of my career, I have focused on providing nutritional counseling for individuals with obesity as part of multidisciplinary teams, offering personalized and scientifically grounded care. My expertise lies in the nutritional management of post-surgical patients and patients with metabolic disorders, such as obesity and diabetes, helping hundreds of individuals achieve their health goals safely and effectively.
